Martie (the travel agent here we have been working with) met us at the airport and we headed for Pretoria-very pretty here-lots of beautiful trees. Very different from Swaziland in that there are no mountains here! She showed us around some, got us to the grocery store, took us by the High Commission so we know where to go on Monday, and brought us to our lovely abode. It is quite beautiful and it has 2 bedrooms-thank Jesus! Troy also wants me to note it has a flat screen tv-very important as there is lots of soccer on right now. We are in a house that was built in the 1800's that has been converted into apartments. It has a small pool-Liam is beside himself-wanted to swim the second we got here. We are also in walking distance to a lovely park and shops.
We are very excited to be at the next stage in our journey. By the way it has wireless internet so hopefully we have better opportunity to stay on touch.
We love reading your comments-we pretty much bawl as we read- lifts our spirits! Keep praying for us, as much as we are happy to be here we are longing for home. And that's Teresa's version of the McKnight Report!
Happy to hear you're one step closer to getting back home!!! We love reading your posts... xoxoxo to all 4 of you!!!!! The Morris clan:)
ReplyDeleteHey T&T,
ReplyDeleteGood Palm Sunday to you. Pretoria sounds so beautiful. Happy to hear to have some elbow room. You seem peaceful.
Tell Liam to have a swim in the pool for me as it's sunny and warming up to 16 degrees celius here today but still too cold to swim outdoors.
We expect God to pull through and the government to do the same. Praise God for all those who have helped you already. Especially the lady who left a family funeral to help. I'm amazed at all the miracles that have happened along the way and I am expecting God to continue to work more miracles until you all are home soon.
Enjoy the gift of your time in Pretoria. May God's presence surround you and may you feel His loving arms protecting you. Stay focused and do not be dismayed or discouraged. There is HOPE and with each fulfillment of expected hope, there is JOY!
We look forward to celebrating your victories when we see you.
Shalom my friends.
Love,
Rory,Pink, Robert & Mel
