Monday the 23rd.
Sorry it has been a while since we wrote! The weekend was full. An answer to prayer is that our medicals were sent to Nairobi early Friday morning.
We had lots of opportunities over the weekend to spend time with the other adopting families. Several outings and meals together.
On Sunday morning we went to Hilltop Church-very cool experience-didn't last the whole service with 4 children but heard some beautiful singing and troy had to give greetings from Powers Creek Church!
We spent the rest of the afternoon at SwaziCandles-had a fantastic lunch and the kids played at the playground.
Please pray for us as we continue to bond as a family. Zoe is very sick with a cold right now and that means we are not sleeping-Liam manages to sleep through it all! Makes the days that much more challenging when there is no sleep at night! we are definately ready to come home!
We are told that we will be going to court either Wed. or Thurs. then we will have to apply for birth certificate and passport-so possibility that we will be able to head to Pretoria early next week. Please pray that will be so-we feel like that puts us one step closer to home. Liam is just starting to ask for home-which to me is amazing-he has been very content here-made friends and having a great time.
We are heading to the Swazi Cultural Village this morning. Tomorrow heading to the southern part of the country with the other Canadian family and Vierah-they are to meet the nurse who found their son and Vierah wants us to go along for the journey. A great chance to see more of this beautiful country-a long journey though-so keep us in your prayers!
Will try to do better this week with more regular posts!

Hey Guys--want you to know we are praying for you along with a great many others back at FWC!! We are all praying for smooth sailing and it is great to get these updates. I know it must be challenging but you seem to be handling all of the setbacks and frustrations really well, and we will continue to pray for you to continue experiencing God's provision and protection throughout this time.

Hey T&T!
ReplyDeleteSawubona!!!! This comes from the Greek word, "YahSU", which in English means "Hello". (From Rory to Troy)
Thank God that both kids are not sick at the same time. All 4 Taylor's say, "Sawubono", and are praying for all 4 of you and the rest of the group travelling with you.
I agree with Kim and look forward to seeing a photo or 2. Are you using your fabulous camera?!
I think spending the day in court would be just fabulous for Troy's bday.
Remember these words:
" Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace (SHALOM), whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee. Trust in the Lord for ever: for in the Lord GOD is everlasting strength".(Isaiah 26:3-4)
Love you,
Pinky
